I’m posting this video for my 6 loyal readers to check out…I found it through Steve at The Sneeze, who is a friend of a friend of mine from college (sheer coincidence ), and Susan Olsen (the original Cindy Brady) is a friend of his. She needs to the get most views of her video on YouTube to win a challenge on some reality show she’s starring in. I try to lend a hand where I can…isn’t that what the World Wide Internets is for?

Well, hey.  Nuthin’s been happenin’ much around here.  We went to see Granny and Mammy (curse that old hag).

Did I tell you that Justin is working at Kroger’s now?  Well he is.  He likes it, I think.

What in the world I’m writing now is beyond me.  I’m a very wierd kid.  Good grief, look at the time!  (9:47 P.M.) Well, nothing (like I said) is or has been happening today.  So I guess I’ll go now.  Been nice talking to ya again.  See ya!

P.S.  The reason that I don’t write every day is because not every day is there something worth writing about!  When I have something that I feel is important to write about (or) if I’m in the mood to write.  Just wanted to explain myself.

Dear Bethie,

Well, me & Donna had fun.  We went to Family Fun World (saw Derrick), Dairy Queen, McDonald’s, & back to her house Friday.  Stayed awake till 4 a.m.  Woke up at 9:45 a.m.  Mom came at 10:45 a.m.

Just for the record, Bethie dear, 1983 isn’t the space age yet.  We don’t have hourly flights to Saturn yet, but maybe we will later.  Nothing like those old movies that thought it would be all spaceships & mess.

I think it would be cool to go to a planet like, say, Venus.  Well, maybe.  Venus is supposed to be almost like Earth, isn’t it?  I think so.  Well, I better get a move on, ok?  C-ya!

What do you want to be when you grow up? A dictionary? A best-seller? What? A college textbook?! Well, I want to be famous for something. Maybe acting or maybe be the greatest commiedienne ever. Anyway, when I grow up and am famous, I’ll have you published. Then maybe you’ll be a BESTSELLER in the New York Times. I dunno. Maybe I’ll be in the New York Times! I don’t know. Well, gotta go clean now!

I was born on July 31, 1970 at 12:20 p.m. at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.  My parents were D— W— & P— A— L— S—.  My brother’s name was J— W— S—, four years my senior.  We lived at a humble little house on Richard’s Road in Antioch, TN.  When I was two, we moved to a two-story brick house in Nolensville.  My sister R— was born when I was three.

I must have been really bored this day, because I ended up writing three entries.  Also, what the hell is up with being out of school in early May??? I have no memory of school letting out that early.  Does anyone get out at the beginning of May these days?  Wow.

I just realized that I take out people’s names sometimes, and sometimes I leave them in.  I guess I should try to be more consistent on trying to protect the identities of the innocent.

Hey! It’s been almost 2 months since I’ve said anything to you! Well, I don’t like Dennis anymore. I’ve found out he is a stuffed-shirt jerk! (More later) And I went to Knoxville last week to get a certificate for a high score (>430V) on my TIP SAT. That’s the highlights of the two months, except that we got out of school. Tomorrow I’m going to spend the night at Donna’s house. We might go into Franklin and go to the game room. So it’ll be Saturday night before I write again. C-ya later!

I guess I ought to find out if scoring a 430 on the SAT when you’re 12 means I was smart or something. I was always routed through the “gifted & talented” programs in high school, so I guess someone thought I was smart. Too bad I’ve killed all of the good brain cells in the last 25 years! Sigh.

(Okay I just checked Wikipedia, & the mean score on Verbal for 1983 was 503. So I guess I did pretty well?)

My diary got lost in the shuffle around the house…tells you what a fantastic housekeeper I am…but I’ve found it, and will now resume our adventures in hormonal teendom:

Hi!  I don’t feel too well today, in fact, I feel terible!  I have been in bed all day and my throat is sore, my temperature is 102°, my eyes are burning, I’m weak, I might have to see the doctor tomorrow.  Well, I won’t have to go to school.

I could die…but at least I won’t have to go to school.

My sister sent me a few pictures from the Father’s Day get-together at her house last Sunday. Behold the cuteness that is my 2-year-old nephew Sterling:

Oh. My. God. I just want to eat him up with a biscuit. I have trouble believing that my brother can produce something this delicious.

Today we visited Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park.  Days like today almost make the soul-crushing winters worth living through.  Almost.
